Why do I need S-Pods®?
Rear speakers are necessary to overcome the road noise present in a
convertible. S-Pods®are not obstructed by the seat-backs as some other
rear speaker solutions are.
How do they look?
High quality materials and construction are used. S-Pods® have better
than OEM look and feel.
How do they sound?
You will be amazed the first time you drop the top and can actually hear
your tunes while at speed!
What colors are available?
Black, Red, & Blue. ( Red & Blue will be discontinued as soon as stock is
depleted)
Can I install them myself?
Most do-it-yourselfers can in a couple of hours. Shops typically charge
$50.00 to install them.
Will you customize them?
When Red & Blue S-Pods are discontinued, we will be happy to cover S-
Pods with customer supplied material for a cost of $220. One square yard
of material is needed .
Will you discount them?
No, OEM rear speakers typically cost $500 + $250 for installation. S-
Pods® are a great value.
How long will they be available?
They are not likely to be discontinued any time soon.
Which speakers should I use?
Most major brands fit with no modification. Brands used successfully
include: Alpine, Infinity, Crystal, Pioneer, Boston Acoustics, Polk, and
Blaupunkt. MB Quart & Kenwood have also been used with some
modifications. Please see the specifications page for details.
Are they available for other vehicles?
S-Pods are available for the Honda S2000 & Mazda Miata Rx-5. You may
inquire about your vehicle by searching our website or contacting us at
our "contact" form.
Do I need a wiring harness?
If you plan to use the stock head unit, and your car is a 2003 or earlier
model you will. We have one available, including detailed instructions for
$20. 2004 and later models are pre-wired for rear speakers.
Do You ship Internationally?
Yes, Streetsmart® has shipped S-Pods® worldwide. International orders
typically ship within 2 business days, with arrival in 3-5 business days.
Please include your postal code with inquiries to insure an accurate
shipping quote. (Canada typically $20 USD to ship, Europe typically
$37-$40 USD to ship.)
